Korean Driver's License Fees
These are the official KOROAD fees. You pay at the test center at each step. Fees can change, so check before you go.

*Medical check fee: KOROAD's Korean page says 7,000 KRW (8,000 KRW for Class 1 Large/Special), but its English page says 6,000 / 7,000 KRW. Check with the test center.
Total cost for a car license (Class 2 Ordinary)
If you pass every test on the first try, the official fees add up to about 86,000 KRW: medical check about 7,000 + written 10,000 + skills 25,000 + practice license 4,000 + road 30,000 + card 10,000.
This does not include photos or driving school lessons. If you fail, you pay the test fee again for each retry.
Motorcycle license
For Class 2 Small (motorcycle) there is no practice license and no road test. You pay for the medical check, written test (10,000), skills test (14,000) and card (10,000).
Exchanging a foreign license
You pay for the medical check and the card (10,000). If you must take the written test, add 10,000 KRW. See Exchange a foreign license.
