What is the desirable attitude of a driver toward pedestrians?

Drivers must always put pedestrians' safety first. For example, if a pedestrian is crossing where there is no crosswalk, you must stop at a safe distance so they can cross safely. Jaywalkers and pedestrians beside your car must also be protected. [Road Traffic Act, Art. 27(5)]
